Uchimura played this episode like a pro.

The strategies, mind games, and results all came. Glad to see Neia stand up for herself and vowing to protect her parents. Another win for him. I hope Neia will be a good secretary. She and Olulu working together should be fine.

I'm quite worried about the upcoming disaster. I've no doubt that Uchimura will eventually overcome any obstacles but can he do it with no death toll? Especially when a group of dangerous dragon (or wyvern) is involved?

Everyone’s a trade expert until a real trade expert shows up. Another Uchimura business masterclass. God, seeing Viper’s smug little face become absolutely dejected when he realized he lost to Uchimura was so satisfying. What a despicable pos, he really got off better than he deserved, but the important thing is he won’t be hurting Neia or anyone else again.

When you can’t outsmart someone, try to kill them. No idea how Viper thought a group of assassins was gonna take out Sylphid who’s a high ranking member of the demon king army, what a dumbass. If there were any hope for redemption for him it went out the window there and with how he treated Neia. Nice to see some actual action in this show too, I know it’s a mainly business show, but things look like they’re gonna get going with this “calamity” foreshadowing

Guess we’re getting an actual story now! Only took 9 eps lmao. I am happy Neia has a safe and caring home now too

The calamity seems like a different kind of challenge to the ones Uchimura is used to. Looking forward to it.

@LaczPro19 I snorted my coffee out of my nose when she said that, lol. It'd be such a waste if he was too

I think the star of this episode are the two ninja-something bodyguards, holy shit their stereotypical kung-fu noises made me laugh too much, imagine how fun it must've been in the recording studio recording funny hoo ha noises 😂

was good seeing everything wrap up with the guild master crap even if everyone knew it was gonna work out well anyway tho the new calamity hitting the nation.....wonder how that's gonna play out and if Uchimura will succeed in solving this or not considering we are.......holy shnitzel 3 episodes away from the finish, I swear February just came and went 😂

The day of "Operation Dragon Strike". In I'm a Noble in the Brink of Ruin, they had their own version of "Operation Dragon Strike" today.

Not a whole lot of comedy this week, some pretty harsh moments instead.
But it was still interesting to see how Uchimura won, and I'm glad to see the little girl life will be better now at least :)

Viper got played like a Rock Guitar! He realized right away that girl was being abused but hiding it, so not being honest. Everything was a set up. Even the other merchants in the Guild were disgusted & washed their hands of the slimy bastard. Off to jail scumbag!

Great episode!

Uchimura wins his loli. His gamble with forgiving the pig paid off.

Also, it presents a situation where imports make sense.

Viper really wanted to have the last word, that's how much he loathes defeat lol It was obvious he'd be overthrown, and his attempt at currying favor from Uchimura was pretty obviously just an act, which Uchimura saw right through.

It's interesting that they switched things around compared to the manga.

In the manga, the calamity arc happened before the merchant's guild arc. Butagalian warned about incoming calamity instead of the gim hoarding.

In the anime, the merchant's guild arc happened first and then the calamity arc. It was Viper who was rambling about the upcoming calamity before we saw the demon king talking about it.
Honestly, I like this pacing better. It makes more sense for Butagalian, a merchant, to warn about prices and hoarding than some calamity.
It's also weird pacing that we go from clearing the calamity to some stuff about greedy merchant hoarding food.

Maybe the lessons learned in this arc will help in the upcoming calamity arc.

What a confusing and middling episode. A lot of the details didn't make any sense. Even if it's a delicacy, how would the meat from 30 wyverns trade for enough food to feed an entire country for more than a meal or two? And he planned the whole thing from the moment that he met the guild? Wasn't that before the wyverns appeared?

And why would a bunch of merchants who witnessed Viper's cruelty firsthand (maybe not the physical abuse, but definitely the extortion of a city's/country's food supply for profit) and not had major qualms about it suddenly make an about-face and vote him out just because he abused a girl (again, after literally starving the city/country)?

And he apparently knew that Neia's father was running the caravan of gim? That seems like another stretch of belief.

Also, why couldn't Sylphid just have arrested Viper after he had ninjas attempt to murder her?

On a more positive note, I'm getting more and more curious about the bar that Uchimura shows up in every episode. It's obviously more than just a regular bar in the isekai world, now that he was able to interact with his old coworkers from Japan

You want to get behind these characters but Uchimura is such a p&$$@ that I’ve found myself just tired of it. I just feel like he really doesn’t have to be a wimp in every single aspect of living.. I mean have just a shred of dignity. I could understand in the beginning and to some extent it made sense but these last few episodes phlegm has more backbone.. sheesh

Dennosuke Uchimura is your normal, everyday salaryman trying to climb the corporate ladder. But then he’s summoned to a terrifying fantasy world by the Demon Overlord, who offers him a new job—as one of the Heavenly Kings in his army, with full benefits! Uchimura may not have muscles or magic, but he does have an office worker’s skills and savvy. Will they be enough to keep him alive?

Uchimura's Operation Dragon Strike to commence their counterattack, and Neia, clearly still working for Viper, has second thoughts about her torture enough to initiate a lie, though that doesn't slide with the perception of the guildmaster. Uchimura only realized this fact just by observing her very closely, similar to his 3 colleagues who were aiming to make a change in their lives, and now, it's a speed competition between the gim and the smoked wyvern.

Of course, having Butagalian as the trump card made sure that Uchimura learnt his lesson from his earlier trading endeavours, and even barter trading so that they can get the gim on advance and sell it to the townspeople for cheap. Plus, the vote established between the host of merchants to save Neia and oust the Lordpent Family out of the guild, Viper is much different from Butagalian. Uchimura also having the guild's plans plotted against by Neia's own parents, at least she's safe working with the Demon Army.

The spoken calamity is arriving soon...

Viper was one cold blooded dude. He overestimated how much the guild supported his way of doing business.

Neia's a smart kid, so it's great that she's officially joined the team as a new secretary.

Looks like I underestimated Uchimura—he’s not naive, just kind.

He played the game on a larger scale and took down Viper, but there were quite a few moments where the plot didn’t make sense, with no explanation given.

Now, a calamity is upon them, and if they don’t act fast, things are about to get really ugly.

After all that Viper dude did that is the soft ending he gets? Animes tends to do that: they make us see innocents/children being violently abused for episodes and the bad dude just getting handcuffed basically unscratched and that is it. I don't mean to be the bad guy here but this is very unsatisfying.

Ayo unexpected use of barter even in the other world. But its nice to see Dennosuke settle things with those snake dude with some twist left and right.

Blue chick once again doing some hottie action here, very appreciated scene there.

Alright then, no lolita for our mc, he's straight out focus at the job, really. So what's up with the calamity ahead? Shall our headhunter dude solve the problem with heavy battle there? Let's see next!

Uchimura yet again forgives he betrayor and hires them as a secretary because he understands they were forced to comply. He crashed the value of Gim by giving it away for free despite his enemy panic buying it. Really predictable atp
