Asmongold (streamer/youtuber) has just recently released a reaction video of a documentary about Nutaku. Back when I received ads, they were plastered everywhere, so it was basically impossible not to be aware of them to some degree. However, the documentary has me thinking about Nutaku, our communities and how we're all loosely connected to them. Despite this, have have virtually no memory of any discussions related to Nutaku aside from a vague mention. Even searching, I found 50 pages of general search from random threads, but only 3 from threats with Nutaku in the title.
The documentary suggests that Nutaku is far larger than I realistically thought possible. Although I'm skeptical about the scope mentioned in the doc, but a degree it makes logical sense. Despite that, it's kind of shocking how our community still views "porn games" as a niche that hasn't been incorporated in the west, but Nutaku potentially proves that isn't the case. If this is true, than the lack of discussions about it even more surprising. Does F95 have a rule against discussing other sites so mentions of it are getting deleted? If so, not exactly thrilled about that.
But, my fundamental curiosity is about how our community actually feels about Nutaku? Have you ever played a game published or created by this company before? How was it? What about the lurking devs? Have you taken a look at Nutaku in the past and has it impacted your thought process in anyway?
For me, I've never played a game from them before. I originally thought it was a scam, but after realizing it wasn't, I've avoided it due to privacy concerns (something this doc justifies).
